| My grandmother who is about to turn 83 is determined to start breeding Bangles. I am trying to point out that they are a very energetic breed,but she won't listen. Luckily she does have the money to start just yet,but it is only a matter of time. Does anyone have advise for how i can dissway her from going on with this.

| Let her to be a petsitter for 1-3 young bengals for several days, maybe she'll get tired from them and will consider other (less active) breed. Or maybe she should start working for Bengal breeders helping take care of cats and kitten or volunteer in Bengal rescue (if there is one in your area).

Or start a rescue for abandoned/abused Bengals. Take care of the ones that are here on this planet before creating more, and cats in need of rescue really need more love and care than even kittens. If it's love and joy and life she needs an infusion of, taking an abused animal and rehabilitating them back to loving and trusting, well-adjusted companion animals can certainly do that.

One of the biggest deterients you can use on her is that female Bengals come into season at a yonng age (sometimes as young as 4-5 months old) and they will go in and out of heat very often. Because of this, you cannot put them on hold and if not bred they will develop pyrometria (uterine infection) very easily.
They need to have more then one litter a year - many Bengal breeders have to breed their females at least 2 times a year or risk pyrometria.
Question is WHY does she want to breed them?
