| Hi! This is my first post on this site which I just discovered. I just lost my dear beloved 16 yr old Russian Blue, Lidia. I love the breed but was curious as to what other people's experiences have been with them since I have never spoken to other owners other than a few breeders.

| Hey tevvy, I had the pleasure of being a friend to a Russian Blue, his mother and all of his litter mates were poisoned by antifreeze, so that is how he got his name, Antifreeze. He was the most awesome cat, the whole family and I mean extended family too, loved this cat. A tragic accident took him from us all too soon and the Whole family mourned his passing. If you are looking for a new friend I would like to recommend adopting. You know that special someone is waiting on you out there, go find them. Best of Luck!

My first purebred was a Russian Blue - bred her and kept one of her sons for showing. They are quiet cats, not overly social - more one-person cats. They don't like alnot of noise or kids running around the house.
Cassanova was pretty outgoing for a RB - he loved people. His mom only liked me
