I tried using the puppy pee pads on the bottom of the litter box. Instead of using two sided tape I just taped the edges to the outside. The first time I did this she managed to get a corner loose but the pad its self did not rip. So I tried taping the four corners and the four sides (sounds overkill I know, but she's a digger). It really works though. the litter box was clean under the liner. she ripped parts of it but never managed to rip a hole all the way through! Definitely something I am going to keep on doing.
Oh and by the way, I had been concerned about this method possibly being really stinky because the pee pad would absorb the urine, but if anything it had less of a smell! What a great idea that was! Thanks PeaLoki&Gabe

| I agree with Willow. I don't use Pam but I use a pancake spatula I got from the dollar store (for a dollar lol) and I flip the urine cakes up into the used litter bag (behind my back with my eyes closed). I tried every gimmick and new fangled litter box they sold, until I finally realized that simple is best.

| I have a idea for litterbox smells because I had them too. My male uses it right up against the edge, I would clean and clean and clean and it would still smell so I had to find a fix. Go to Walmart or PetSmart. Buy the sifting litterbox liners. They work great! I do not have any more trouble with litterbox issues because I change a liner every day. No more smell and it has been tons easier. It only takes about 3 minutes to lift the liner and sift the clean litter into the next liner, then just throw it away. Just try it. These really do work! No joke and it never stinks. These have changed our lives. They fit to just about any litterboxes except automatic (tried that too, cat peed on the rake). Walmart has enough for 10 days and PetSmart has enough for 30 days. The Walmart ones are thicker for under $3 and PetSmart is a little thinner for under about $12. It is so easy, my husand even changes the box!
