| Hi there; I have a beautiful grey cat, she's lovely! All one shade, not a single mrking on her. She looks very much like a Russian Blue or Charteaus (sp?) and she one interesting characteristic that I would love to know more about. She has no hair on her ears. She is in excellent health, it's not mites or anything. (Vet checked, I'm sure!!) Is this something related to breed? I have researched Russian Blue and Chartreaus and she does have several of the personality traits of these two breeds, extremely intelligent, plays fetch, amazingly affectionate, loves attention, my lap is her favourite place to lay, etc. Any one? Thank you!

Thank you! Thats strange! I have two stray cats that I suspect may be part Chartreux or maybe Russian Blue (eye color is more consistent with Chartreux). They are also smart loving lap kitties one of whom plays fetch with a ball and the other whom drags her feather toys over for me to play with her with. But I never heard of the no hair on the ears thing. If a vet says that its not health related it could be just be some sort of benign defect. Since my cats aren't pureblood whatever they are I can't answer with certainty but I haven't heard that either breed had this as a characteristic from what I have read.

RB's have a double coat with lots of silver tipping. And they have GREEN eye color - not gold, not hazel but pure dark green.
Chartruex have gold/orange eye color and their body is heavier built with more refined legs. Judges refer to them as a cat with toothpick legs
Can you post a picture and I'll tell you for sure what your cat might be?
