hey everyone im new to the website... was wondering if i could get some info or opinions on my situation....my mother lives out in the country...just a few days ago 5 kittens and their mother came to her house...three of the kittens are bobtail and the other two are tabby...4 female one male...since i already have two cat and two boys i really cannot take them keep them...although i would love to...they are beautiful cats...very very friendly...i just think it would be a shame to take them to a shelter...was wondering if anybody has any advice or knows of other options???? thanks sooo much

Any reason you cannot keep them temporary - even if only in one room till you can adopt them out and spay/neuter them if possible?

You especially need to get mom spayed or she will become pregnant again (if not already pregnant). Whether or not mom stays outside, she should be spayed to prevent any more litters.

Are there any no-kill shelters in the area? A no kill shelter sounds like the best option. The kittens wouldn't be a problem, as people are always looking to adopt kittens but the mother may not get adopted right off, which is why a no-kill shelter would be the best option. I hope you figure this out. Good luck.
