Today is a very sad day for our family.  Our beloved Blu was laid to rest today after a 2 month illness.  We are not sure what happened to make our sweet baby so sick.  However, we had our vet test her for everything she could imagine would cause her to stop eating, and lose so much weight.  We will be keeping a close eye on all our lady bugs and pray everyone will continue to be alright.  Thanks so much to all on Cat Channel who showed our Blu Belle so much love.  She was a wonderful, wonderful girl who meant a lot to me.  She literally nursed me back to health after two spinal fusions.  I will never forget her leading me up the stairs when I felt I could not take another step.  Also, many times when I was in a lot of pain and felt so depressed Blu was there for me.  I miss her terribly and will always feel a void in my life now that she has passed on to her reward.  I know she is at peace and I truly hope she did not suffer.  This is not what I wanted.  I wanted her to feel safe and loved.  God Bless you Blu.

I'm sorry. I lost a cat a month ago. It's very sad when they get ill and you don't know what it's happening, and you don't know how to help them.

They remain in our hearts forever. I'm sure she felt herself loved and she isn´t suffering now. I'm sure God have a good place for animals in Heaven.

I also couldn't do anything for my cat. In the end we discover he had a very advanced liver cancer. Someone abandoned him because of that. He was at home only for two months.

When I speak of him I always cry, like now. It's very hard when they go away like this. But one day you will find her again. Remember her with a smile because she was a light in your life.

My condolences to both of you.  I lost three cats last year, so I have some understanding of what you're going through.  Keep in mind that your kitties will always live in your heart.  I also do believe in the Rainbow Bridge.

I feel for your loss.  Losing a beloved pet is as painful as losing a human member of the family.

Remember the good things, and know that she will always be alive in your heart.

Did your vet run blood tests to check for renal (kidney) failure? My cat, Pooky (who died today) was diagnosed in February 2007 of chronic renal failure (CRF) was losing a lot of weight within a short period of time even though he ate like a pig. He was always thirsty too, but he had always been like that (drying off the shower curtain, outside furniture after it rained, drinking from puddles, etc.). I thought at one time he had diabetes so I had him screened for that. It was negative.

Last year's pet food recall killed a lot of pets who acquired CRF months later. My cat wasn't a victim of that because I tried to feed him an IAMS can of food that was later recalled and this cat (and my other five cats) wouldn't eat it so I couldn't blame it on that.
