Hey VetTechGirl - if this vet tech thing doesn't work out, you should try a career writing stories! This one's priceless! Now if I could make it as entertaining as yours, I'd share the story about the cat who ate my furniture!

I do write stories as a hobby. I've been doing it since I was about 6. I have two children's series (one for really little kids about a white kitten named Jesebelle, and a series about four girls, but all of the characters are animals), a duet (about a horse), a trilogy (medeival), a series of 13 as a spin off of the trilogy, and a quartet(medeival, fantasy, time travel) that are my main pieces of work. Some of them I haven't had a chance to finish yet, but the others I just can't seem to get a publishing editor to find any interest in. It seems like it's awfully hard to get anything published without an agent, and they are EXPENSIVE! But thanks for the compliments, and I really hope everyone's enjoying it! Greycloud's story kind of gave me the idea (and that's not to retract from her story. By all means, everyone KEEP READING IT!).
If there are any editors or agents out there, or anyone that has a family member/friend that's in the business, and you would be interested in some of my work, please let me know!

| Your accounting of Pharaoh's antics is so cute! The latest one, which could be called "The Purloined Twinkie," had me in stitches. I can just imagine the two conspirators in action! You do have a talent for writing, but as you said, it's very difficult to break into the business without an agent, which are VERY EXPENSIVE. Perhaps you could try submitting your stories to a magazine. There are magazine who accept short stories from unpublished authors, and this might help you get a foot in the door. Regardless, don't stop the saga. I know we're all waiting for the next adventure!

Same here. Writing is one of my hobbies. I've a few short stories, and a couple of novels. I mainly write fantasy, but I've dabbled in other genres. I've published a couple of my short stories. One novel I tried to get published, but couldn't find anyone willing to publish it. So I self-published it instead, mainly to have it under my belt so I can show that I can complete a novel. I'm working on another novel, which I'm hoping might work out better if/when I try to publish it. If I could find an agent (and an editor would be good to), I'd probably have better luck. I tip I learned during my creative writing classes was don't submit your work to anyone who wants you to pay them a fee just to read your manuscript.

| VetTechGirl - you and Reno are both good writers but your writing styles are very different, so you aren't taking anything away from the saga of Greycloud. I watch eagerly for more chapters in that story, now I'll also eagerly watch for future episodes of the adventures of Pharoah. Please keep writing!
