The #1 most deadly feline species are the ones we keep in our homes. The domestic cat is the deadliest feline. They rated the most deadly by the average of successful kills/ to hunts. Amazingly they said they found no correlation to a cat wearing a bell and a failed hunt.

Didn't see it -- that is interesting!  Did it include lions, tigers -- wild cats that have to hunt to live?

My cats are always bringing me "presents" -- but they have a friend groundhog they play with in the yard everyday.  Rusty and the groundhog chase each other with a game of tag.

Yeah, I saw that episode. I thought it was interesting. They must have meant how deadly the animal is to it's natural prey though, because I'm sure a tiger could kill me a lot more easily than my little Pharaoh could!

yes it included all of the big cats. I think they used a ratio to determine their rankings, successful kills to hunting attempts. I think tiger was #3 and lion was  #2 (Which I think is totally unfair since lions are a group predator, and tigers are solitary).

Obviously they never met my Loki, he's good at stalking but just doesn't have the killer instinct; if he ever did kill something he'd probably put it infront of the stove and expect me to cook it for him... he won't eat anything raw (he's very odd). Not sure if its a monkey see monkey do- I won't eat it raw, so he doesn't think he should either.

My cats own my house they just permit me to live there.

A non hungry hunter is the most deadly. It can take all the time it needs to stalk the prey. That's why domestic well-feed cats are the most deadly ones.

There's also the theory of the "language" of death which is an anthropomorphic version of Evolution, That the animals who are ready to die somehow signal to the predator that they're ready to go. And there's just dumb luck
