I found a kitten, not sure about the age, able to stand up and jump, vision, not completely formed,(eyes are still blue, blue-gray) able to lick from bowl for a while but still prefers from the medicine dropper. Apparently, the mother left it, ( we've tried to find the Queen but after a day, it didn't return, figured leaving if we left the kitten that way, we would just leave it starving to death) so what kind of milk should i give it? Normal warm Cow's milk? Or should i look for powdered baby's milk? (been giving it normal warm cow's milk for now, diluted with some water)
Please reply ASAP, might be giving it milk bad for it's health.

| Please do NOT give cow's milk or human baby milk to a kitten - it will cause more problems. Go to the store and get Kitten Milk Replacement (KMR) - I think it comes in liquid and powder (powder won't spoil). Take the kitten to the vet to be examined and find out the approximate age. And get a high quality canned kitten food for solid - hold off on dry for the time being. You need to mix the KMR and canned kitten food to a thick soup texture.

| Here is a great link on orphaned kittens. You have to feed them 6x a day and you also have to help them eliminate. Go to this link and read it through. It's a lot of work and not as simple as you think. PS: wow- congratulations on your new baby! http://www.2ndchance.info/orphankitten.htm They do grow up:

| If the mother left him perhaps he is ill. But sometimes is the owner who left them. When they are very young it's a lot of work and very difficult to bring them up. Lots of luck

| At that age I like to feed them canned Iams kitten food (that brand is the smoothest I've found---no chunks at all) mixed with kitten milk replacer until it's of a milkshake consistency. They can usually eat it out of the bowl, but you can spooon-feed them if necessary. I've raised quite a few little guys this way, and they all turned out great! You can usually get kitten milk replacer at Wal-Mart or any grocery store. If you absolutely can't find it, canned Meyenberg goat's milk will be OK.
