(Although I prefer to go 1000000% natural, so I would have preferred no Frontline.)

And thankfully Felicola subrostratus strictly feeds on cats and cats only!!

Thanks again for the reply!

RE: Lice-Infested Rescue Case

I think Frontline is only for fleas and ticks. I think Revolution will get rid of the lice. Confirmation anyone?

Definitely keep your new kitty isolated until the lice is completely gone. Also, I don't remember if the lice is zoonotic, meaning that other animals and people other than cats can get it. You might want to check that out too.

Lice-Infested Rescue Case

Hello!

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img onload = "resizeThis(this)" onload = " />

Thank you for reading this!

I have two adult housecats and just rescued an orphaned kitten approximately 10 wks. old.

The kitten was infested with lice when I found him. My vet Frontlined him (although this treatment wouldn’t have been my choice), I have sanitized his environment, and I have bathed him twice.

The nits are still on his hair and my next treatment will be to comb them out.

The kitten is otherwise healthy and my family is excited about his joining the other cats, but I want to keep him in quarantine for a couple more weeks.

I have been doing some scientific research on lice but I’d just like to have some practical advice from some of you who have perhaps gone through this before.

Thanks again so much for taking the time to read this!

~EquineLady
