My Raggie's probably the most playful of my three, although my mixed-breed is the most active. Harley gets along well with both the mixed-breed and my Scottish Fold, but probably better with the Fold. Some of that could be similar temperament but some of it's probably age. The mixed-breed is a few months older (now 2 years old), but the Fold and the Raggie are about a day apart (a little over a year old).

You have 2 different types of cats - one laid back and one that is very active. While they may get along, the Bengal would need you or another active cat to play with. The Ragdoll probably would not keep up with the activity level of a Bengal.

I have 2 Ragdolls and Bengal. Alley is part Bengal. She's very high strung and gets agitated easily. Basically she ignores my 2 Ragdolls as much as possible. She is allowed outside where my Ragdolls aren't.
My opinion is no you don't want a Bengal for a pal for your Ragdoll. Bengals are hyper and Ragdolls are layed back. Bengals are trainable and Bengals aren't (at least mine isn't). The personality between the two are so different, you might even have a problem. Alley would shred or destroy anything and everything, that's why she was made an indoor outdoor cat. She's much happier now that she can come and go as she pleases. But she still doen't like the other 2 cats. This is just my opinion. Someone else may have had a better experience than me.

I don't have any ragdolls, but I do have 2 siamese and a bengal (and a birman). My bengal is an absolute bully when it comes to one of my siamese, he pretty much leaves the other one alone; the birman is the oldest so he puts the bengal in his place. My bengal is very aggressive at times, and very aloof. I have never heard him purr. My siamese purr and talk all the time. The bengal does talk though. He will sleep on my feet all night but he's also 9 yrs. old. I know that when I went to get my second siamese from a number of breeders, when they heard I had a siamese, they refused to even let me see a kitten, let alone purchase one. You may also run into this problem if you intend to get your bengal from a breeder and you tell them you have a ragdoll. I don't know that for sure though. If you like the stripes and spots on the bengal, and you are unsure, check out the egyptian mau. They have similar markings and may be a better fit personality wise for your ragdolls. Kind of off-subject, but we added a Ragdoll (Ralphie) recently to our family of rescues. He almost immediately bonded with our male neuter tabby/tuxedo, Rufus. Rufus' sister Zelda has nothing to do with anyone, our Siameseish (looks siamese, but not purebred) is not sure of him, sometimes kissing, sometimes swatting Ralphie. Lovey, the 4 y.o. longhair Ragdoll wannabe, is tollerant, but uninterested, and Oscar the cream and white tabby with an oriental stature is a bit scared of Ralphies size. Since Ralphie is as large as the adults, they don't seem to realize he is still a kitten at 6 mos and wants to play. I think the others feel intimidated by Ralphies size, but he is a big clueless doof who just gets knocked around a bit. I step in to make sure he isn't injured, but he'll just lay there most of the time or just run away, if they are too aggressive. Probably the best companion for your Ragdoll is another Ragdoll.

Hi, we're thinkig of getting a new cat, and are interested in the exotic look of a Bengal or Savannah. I haven't been able to get as much information as I would like about their teperament and personalities. I'm specially interested in knowing if it would be a good companion for our Ragdoll Luka, who is our very spoiled baby that we love. Ragdolls are very loving and laid back, very sweet, not as agile....I'm not sure if they could make good friends.

Any Bengal or savannah owners that can help me out there?
