(I have a sliding door to the porch that my litle brother left open). They still want to be in my room but they're to scared cuz Im in there... So now the sleep out in the cold in a box with a blanket inside that I left outside my door for them.
The next day, I was able to catch one (the white one -- if you've seen the video in my last topic). but I didnt really know what to do with her when I got her inside. There was a scared kitty inside with an angry mom outside with 4 other kittens that run when they see you... whats the best way to catch all these lil' guys? My friend suggested getting a crate and when I see them eating the food (since they're already weaned thankfully) I pull a straing to shut the door.... does that sound ok?

CALICO CAT

I GOT A CAT FROM THE SHELTER. Well weeks went by and I caught a video of her and her kittens. There are 5 total and each one is a different color which is interesting. I have a cat that isn't nuetured and she used to follow him everywhere he went... maybe the little orange kitty is his haha
So my question is since she's a stray and we have so many wild animals around here where we live (Whish is how my other cat was killed), what should I do? The kittens are always trying to get into the house by the way. Is it the right thing to welcome them in?
***Note that I feed their mama everyday and she's been coming over for food for a few months.

So here's the video Id like to share with you
http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=38658272

When do queens stop protecting their kittens?

I have a momma cat (DSH with oriental features - maybe abyssinian (is that oriental?)) and 2 of her kittens, along with 7 other cats that live in the same part of the house. When I first got her I knew she kinda looked like a breed of cat I had seen before but I couldn't remember what breed it was. Then I went onto the CFA website and found that she looked remarkably like a Turkish Van, which I understand to be quite a rare breed. The more I read about this breed, the more it sounded like my cat. She has the same kind of coat, the same large eyes and the same personality. She even LOVES water. But I'm not sure she could really be even part Turkish Van because they are so rare. Any thoughts? Here is a picture of her... if a better one is needed I can get one <img onload = "resizeThis(this)" src="">

i have no clue what breed my cat is...

i have had my cat for soooo long..but never really stoped and thought about what breed she is, but now i want her to have a playmate/friend. My question might be silly but If she has kittens will they be all calico females and if there is males what color would they most likely be. I have never experienced a calico having kittens so i don't know. I would have had her spayed but i thought the white cat who was named maisy and now is Deacon was a girl too. I was told when I adopted him that he was a girl and didn't think to check. So now i think i may be to late as i heard some screaming the other night in the laundry room so i am assuming that she could already be pregnant.

Any advice or answers would help

Thanks

calmer?

are female cats calmer after the've had kittens?

Pure Breed has shorter life?

I had a friend just told me about a pure breed cat or dog, usually shorter life, Is that true? the cat she knows just die was Maine Coon, or is only the life of Maine Coon is shorter? So my dad said to keep an eye on her when she left the porch. I followed her to the back of the house where its just woods. She went under a bush and when I looked under it she was gone and I have no idea where she went.
I have never had a cat that gave birth so I hardly know anything about it, so where would she mostly likely have the kittens? Like I said, its all woods behind our house however there is an old run down shed looking thing that is all overgrown. Could that be a possability? Its really difficult to get to tho...
Any help would be great!!!! Shes still very skittish but Im wanting to kind of "invite" her into the house since we have wild animals galore and Im almost possitive the babies wont live. There have been several cats coming up missing including mine who died 6 months ago. we mostly have racoons but there have been 2 bear sightings so far, a cougar sighting, a bobcat in our front yard along with several cyotes.

So I get worried about her. She loves my cat tho... she follows him around everywhere and they get allong so well. I've been openeing the door and placing food infront of it (inside) and if she sees my cat Mercurry, inside the house, occasionally she'll step inside and follow him. But the smallest noise sends her racing out the door. So Im trying everyday to get her used to it. The longest she's stayed in was about 5 min. of just looking around. What worries me, is that she's not afraid of racoons. I've seen her rub up against one when it was on my porch. Luckly it didn't care...

Am I doing the right thing? And if so, are there any links or anything on how to care for a pregnant cat and new born kittens?
Hope you can help. I have been very involved since day one. Now she's expanding but her health has been very bad lately. Since she's only 42 we're just waiting for her to recover and be back to her old pain free self. Well anyways. I am going to be taking one of her Queens over to my house and let her live with me , only going back to her house to breed with the Stud. I love this Queen and am very excited that I can help out more. I'm very educated when it comes to this. I've given IV fluids and so many medications I've lost count. I know what suppliments to give and blah blah. So I am pretty well ready. I'm planning on Steam cleaning my carpet in my room when she's mainly be once she has her kittens. and her kittens will stay in my room. which the queen will have full run of the house. I do have a dog and a cat but they are very much up to date and healty. and the dogs will have no direct contact with the kittens. Our house is set up so the dogs have ni asess to my room. I'm very excited to finally be helping out more and playing a bigger part in the Katery since one day I will be taking over. ( she has established quite a name for her self and is doing very well) Is there anything I am missing. And pointers, tips. I would appreciate anthing. and thanks for listening to me reamble.

Harmonie

Stressed Bengal

I got a 7yr old bengal free from the paper. PLEASE HELP!!

Post ur Pics!

CATS ARE CUTE! My photographs of my Birman, Sophie, are on the cover and a page and a half spread in the January issue of Cat Fancy! My email has exploded as the issue has just now reached subscribers.

And, to make it even cooler...the breeder has asked her to make a "special appearance" at their regional cat club show in April! Sophie is a house cat (although she is show marked) and has never been to a cat show. Not sure how she'll react. So, since I work in a pet friendly environment, she's going to start going to work with me a day or two a week...just to get her used to groups and all the commotion.

Her "stats":

Bojacat Cara Mia Sophie

DOB 12/5/05

Blue Point Birmam

Please forgive my unabashed enthusiasm! I've never experienced anything like this before...and, these are the first of my photographs to be published!

We truly have so much for which to be thankful!

Deb, Faith, and Sophie

No longer applicable

This message is no longer applicable as the issue has been resolved.

Is it possible? American Bobtail?

Is it possible for a cat to turn up in a litter with every single breed characteristic of an American Bobtail? Right down to the personality? Her mother is a plain ol kitty, and I suspect the daddy is the bobtailed stray I have seen lurking around. I do mean everything about her says American Bobtail...i can get some pics of her.
Cheryl

Looking to determine cat's breed

I know someone who has a cat that is not a domestic breed. The cat is larger than usual domestic breeds. I notice that when this cats walks it holds it's hind end up higher than other domestic breeds. Additionally, this cat does not bother my allergies. I am trying to figure out what type of cat this is. I had a cat a long time ago that I thought was just a large cat but it looked exactly like these cat's that this person has. Does anyone have any idea.....I thought the name of the breed started with an M but I'm not positive. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

CAT BREEDERS IN WASHINGTON

I need help finding cat breeders in Washington (state). Nasir (the older brother) will tackle Romeo, holding him down while biting his neck. Romeo will meow and howl but then go back for more so it seems like they're just playing. Nasir won't even cuddle with me anymore when Romeo is in the room. They seem to like each other, but how do I tell when Nasir is hurting Romeo? Nasir also snapped at me for the first time yesterday when I picked him up around baby Romeo. Any insight into this aggression? Is it stress? How rough is too rough? How long will this chaos last? I would appreciate any advice and thank you so much in advance!
