I have always taken mine in annually plus when needed. Missy generally has been going twice a year to be checked, our vet does shots just every 3 yrs or so now, although it used to be more often, much has been learned in the field. I know having titres checked can confirm if a shots needed but as my kids have all been inside only I don't bring them in but when I KNOW its needed, for exam or illness, I cant see adding stress of lab draws and bringing them in the following week or so, for shots.

Missy has gone in a few times a year as she has allergies and we have had trouble getting them under control. Vet will be surprised when she goes in again, her tummys coated again for the first time in years.

I take mine yearly. Since I have seven they are spaced out through the year having to take just two & three at a time. My vet is an angel-I call him the cat whisperer because he can cleans their teeth with no sedation and they sit and let him do it! My two white cats take Viralys in their food to keep their eyes healthy. Then there are flea treatments and allergy shots and of course here and there someone needs an antibiotic. He deals with me year round!

George has to go every 2-3 months to get his anal glands "squished". If I have any other issues they would go right away.

We take our cats each year for their check up and shots. Thankfully so far, we've only had to make one or two extra trips when something wrong popped up.

We have 4 cats and historically we take them in once a year. Now that two of them have kidney issues they go in every 3-2 months

we take our animals about 2x a year, but with Einsteins Medical problems it's about 3-4 times a year.

To tell you the truth, I haven't taken my cats to the veterinarian in a long time. I have reasons though. My younger cat does NOT get into the carrier so she's gone to the vet only once since we've had her, and my other cat is too old to go to the vet. He would die of a heart attack on the way there and I'd rather not take him to the vet rather than take him and scare him to death.

At least once per year for shots and then again a couple more times when we need to board him. They take such good care of my baby there!

I take my cat to the vet to get her yearly shots. I also took her to have her teeth cleaned back in Feb of this year. I had to take her several times in January to get her well when she got sick. So I take her once a year to get her shots, whenever she's sick, or if I happen to come across a free exam or something somewhere.

I don't have a cat but I know that you should take any animal to the vet at least once a year !!

i take my 2 girls twice a year. when they were little,i was there almost 3xmonth. i had really bad problems with fleas and worms,turnd out it was the place i was living at..had really bad termites,roaches,etc etc. and it wasnt healthy for the cats immune system.now i moved about 3 yrs ago and they havent had a problem since.

My Orbie goes to the Vet once a year. She does not get shots because when she was a kitten she had an allergic reaction to one of her shots. She went into respiratory failure and had to be rushed to the Animal ER in town. So her VET says its best for her never to have shots agian. Since she was given a series of shots its impossible and to dangerous to try and find out which one she is allergic to. She never leaves the house and cannot be boarded due to the allergic reaction. So she goes to the vet for a check up and maybe blood work. That is all. I believe those vet checks are still important. That gives the vet the chance to know her and keep track of her incase diabeties or other illness kicks in. She has had 2 lypomas (fatty tumors) that needed to be cut out and diagnosed.

We defenetly take our cats to the vet once a year, since we have an outside cat that can get lots of sicknesses.

Most of them go once a year for their shots and a checkup, but my baby Max is 17 with some liver issues so he goes in for blood tests every few months to make sure he's doing okay. He has x-rays every few years if his results show a problem, but he can't be knocked out because his blood doesn't clot.

One of my others has feline anxiety so she goes in sometimes when her face is red and puffy just to get a shot.

My boyfriend's kitty he adopted from me is going in for a dental next week -it's important to get them done before they get too much older that it's dangerous to knock them out.

We bring ours pretty much once a week on account of the vet is a couple doors down and sometimes I lie awake night worrying about their health, being as germs cant be seen and you never know how many is in there. But sometimes if its very busy the receptionsit comes out in the parking lot waving her arms saying we cant come in.

We take Kato to the Vet at least once a year and when he needs to go. Didn't take him on his reason spell as he was eating and using his litter box. He just had a check up and was all right at that time. As we moved out of the area we; we had to find a new vet. A friend recommend this vet and Kato took to her. I was surprise to learn that my old vet fax Kato health records to the new vet.

take my cats to the vets once a year for their yearly shots. then if they get sick i take them to the vets. i have had to take my one year old to the vets three times in the last week. he has a cold and keeps sneezing.

Our guys go in at least once a year, whether they're due for vaccinations or not. (Our vet uses 3-year rabies vaccinations, and once a year for others.) My husband and I like the security of the vet saying "Yes, they're in good health." We have a 4-month period each year that we see the vet with a different cat (or group of cats - Cooper and Lilo go together). Then, we get our human checkups to make the cats feel better.

Our boy is 15 so he will be checked twice a year. We just adopted him in June and he had his first visit with our vet within that week. He had a follow up visit 3 weeks later so she could re-check his eyes.

Coming from the SPCA he caught URI and had bad issues with his eyes.

Of course if anything comes up he'll be at the vet as needed.

Really most vaccines last for more than a year (yes they last 1 and a half or a little longer). But usually vets prefer going sure. And normally it's easier to remember the same month every year. And if you go late you are in time. It doesn't matter if the cat goes out or not. The vaccine last what it last.

If you go every 18 moths you must not go late. And it's not only the shots. You should check the cat, just like we should check ourselves

Before I took my cats to vet once per year for the vaccine booster. But recently I had read from cats magazines that vaccine booster is recommended for 18 months instead of annually. Some magazines even mentioned that vaccine booster is not necessary for those 100% indoored cats. I had talked with my vet whom agree with the 18 months vaccine booster.

Okay I'm horrible, I don't believe in yearly shots for indoor only cats. Pea's been to the vet twice maybe three times her entire life, shots, spay and microchipping. (she's 5-6years old)

Loki has probably been to the vet once a year, The $500 hairball, then because his paws were just horribly dry cracked and bleeding, and now for the cut on his back paw. (He's 3-4 years old)

Gabe I got the health plan for, which completely covered his shots, and neuter, and he needs to go in for a Healthy kitty checkup and he's 1. (I should've added Pea and Loki to his plan for $10 each. )

My cats have only been to the vet once to get fixed and even then we couldn't afford it. The SPCA helped us out. In fact, we ended up spending $500 in vet bills for our late cat Buddy, and then still owe $124 more because we had to have him put to sleep. He had diabetes and the vet we took him to diagnosed it correctly, but put him on the wrong medicine. (glipizide instead of insulin) We later took him to the vet his first owner took him too and found out cats should never be given glipizide because it causes organ failure! (which is exactly what it did with Buddy, the first vet even said he was concerned about Buddy's kidneys.) If one of our little ones was sick, we would try to get up the money to get them to the vet, but it is so expensive.

I take Jasmine and Chloe to the vet once a year. They get their updated shots and their ears and mouth examined. They also get a quick flea check. The first time that we went to the vet with our two girls Chloe had some fleas I was horrified. They don't go outside so how did they get them darn fleas. The vet told us we might have brought the fleas in on our clothes. Now they get a flea treatment once a month. Fleas are a tough thing to get rid of.
