The sun was shining through the curtains with little intensity. It was 8:00, but it seemed more like 6:00. Mom got up and shut her alarm off. As usual, eight pairs of glowing eyes stared at her. Pharaoh leapt onto the hamper and Aster meowed unceasingly from the hallway.

After breakfast, Mom curled up on the couch with Pharaoh at her feet. She had decided Animal Planet sounded like a good channel to watch, but after Pharaoh began thumping her with his tail, she quickly changed the channel to Discovery Kids, only to discover that the show Pharaoh loved to watch at 11:30am was currently on at 9:30am.

She looked at the kitten with squint eye and turned head. How did he know? When the show was over, Pharaoh curled up in Mom's lap and began 'grooming' her hair. They had a wonderful little snuggly play session and Pharaoh was a good boy the whole day!

Aw, thank you. But it's really Leo who should get the credit. Without him, I never would have been inspired to do so! I'm glad you enjoy reading about Pharaoh and the others (though Pharaoh has been rather bad the last two days, so there's not much to report except a lot of no no's and time out's!). I try to keep it interesting when I can, but you'd be surprised how hard it is to sit down and put a fictional twist on an event that really did occur!

Anyway, thanks so much for reading. I'm glad it gives people a smile; that's why I do it!

Hi, Pharaoh,

We gits in trouble, too. Mommy doesn't always understand that when we chases each other that we is jist playing. She thinks she has to jump up and make sure we're not fighting, silly woman. She doesn't really like it when we pulls her hair - we is jist petting her fur cuz we luv her. We know mommy luvs us; she rarely scolds and always pets us, even when we is bad.
Mommy works for us and gives the best of every thing, especially luv. We don't have a daddy so mommy does it all.
Just be patient with your mommy and daddy. Eventually they'll figure it out.
We are 15 years old, 13 years old and 8 years old, not kittens, but we still like to have fun.

Pharaoh was very loving today- hyper, but loving. It was very sweet.

We had an accountant come over to help us with my fiance's business and Pharaoh was making himself right at home with him, even going as far as to go nose to nose with him! Luckily he didn't mind.

So, thank goodness, today was a good day for little Pharaoh!

Pharaoh jabbed his paw under the fridge and STRETCHED as far as he could. "Drat. The crinkle ball is still out of reach." He said. He sat up, shook his head, then sat pitifully in front of the fridge.

Dad walked in from the living room. "What's up, Pharaoh? What'cha doing?" He asked. Pharaoh made a swipe under the fridge again. "My crinkle ball!" he cried.
"What's under there, guy?" Dad asked. Mom came in with a flash light. She got down on her hands and knees and peered under the fridge.

"It's a kitty toy graveyard under here!" She said. Grabbing the feather wand she was able to pull out a few of the cat toys, but of course, the crinkle balls still lay hidden in the deepest, farthest bowels of the under-fridge.

"Mom!" whined Pharaoh, "Save my crinkle ball!"

"We're going to have to pull the fridge out, dear." Mom said. Dad nodded. They pulled out the re-usable grocery bags from the side. Then, with a heave and a tug they moved the fridge. Mom squeezed behind and one by one tossed out the long lost toys.

"My crinkle ball! My jingle ball! My other crinkle ball! My other OTHER crinkle ball! Look! A dust bunny! Yeah!" cried Pharaoh, and he pounced and played happily with his new found toys as Mom and Dad struggled to move the fridge back.

"It's amazing what people will do for their cats." Dad said, a little out of breath.
"No," said Mom, trying to catch her breath too, "It's just pathetic what we do for OUR cats." But they both smiled as they watched Pharaoh play. [/i]

Oh, Pharoah, your mommy is so busy, trying to keep you in litter and kitty food, plus going to school so she can be a vet tech, so of course she's a bit frazzled. Please stay off the stove--we don't want you getting hurt. Remember when your mommy had that candle, and you almost burned your nose? If you jump up on the stove and it's on, your little paws would get really hurt. We can't have that! So be a good kitty, say please when asking for treats, and sleep when Mommy and Daddy are sleeping.

Be a good kitty, and maybe Sandy Claws will bring you something nice for Cats-mas!

I'd let my kitty Tripod talk to you, she's older and wiser, but she doesn't seem to like the computer--I think she's jealous because the more time I spend on it means less time for her to get petted! Stay Good!

Today was big trubel day for me, the Pharaoh kitty. Firsts, I wake mommy up at 3 in the mornin becuz I wants to play. Mommy gots so mad at me, she puts me in time out in the litter bowel room until she gets up. I was so mad, I throwd her fur brush on the ground and chewed up the fluffy end ear cleanerses.

Then, when Mommy come home from class, I didn't mean to, but I trip her and she step on my tail and Aster got scared and fluffded up like a pillow! I thought it was funny, but Mommy was mad again and I did not get an afternoon snack.

Then, before Mommy go to work, I jump on the stove becuz I didn't get my snack and I wants one. Daddy sawd me and Mommy gots so mad and put me in time out again (she said I will thinks my new name is Pharaoh Ramases No No, but I'm not stupid.)

I just being a kitten, but Mommy say I'm 'pushing my limits' and daddy say I'm 'driving him nutters'. I wants to be good kitty like Leo, but I did not know Leo, but he soundeds so perfect. I'm so frusterated! Even Stormy left again! His new Mommy is really nice- I let her pet me- but he was my bestest friend and he's gone again! What's a kitty to do?!

Stormy was finally able to make his nail trim appointment today. It was so cute to watch him and Pharaoh playing together again, and his owner was able to watch it. They were kitty buzzing and wrestling with each other like old times. Pharaoh hissed at Stormy once when he first got out of his carrier like "Hey, you smell different. Where in the world have you been?" But it was great. His owner is far more comfortable with leaving him here with us when she goes on vacation (probably not until summer '09).

The nail trim went great too. I showed her how to do it and she even trimmed a few nails herself. I suggested she bring her boyfriend by the next time, as he is the one that will be helping to hold him.

Stormy may also be getting a new brother or sister for Christmas. His owner's aunt rescued some kittens and is looking for homes for them. She was kind of undecided about whether she wanted to get one or not, but then she saw Stormy and Pharaoh playing and I think she is more sold on adding another cat to the household- which would be great for Stormy.

All in all, today was an absolute success and I got to see my Storm-boy again! He will always be special to my because he was my first foster, and it's great that his owner is keeping me so involved. She's even going to send me a Christmas card with a picture of Stormy in his Santa hat!

Well, Stormy's nail trim appointment was scheduled for Saturday at 1:00. I called at 1:30 because she hadn't shown up yet. Poor Tiffany forgot to set her alarm and had to hurry to get her son to his Dad's so she had to reschedule.

Not a big deal. I understand that happens and I didn't have anything going on anyway. So, we rescheduled the next day for 2:00pm.

At 12:45 she calls half in tears because something is horribly wrong with her grandma and she needed to run over there fast. I told her, "Go be with your family. It's not a big deal. Just call when you're ready to reschedule."

I can read people very well and could tell that she wasn't making it up. This just turned out to be a bad weekend for her. That happens. I hope that she and her grandma are doing okay. I'm still waiting for a call back, but I'm not in a rush.

Oh I already talked to his owner yesterday. She is still keeping him; she just wants some suggestions on how to deal with this issues while he's still in his mischevous kitten phase. Stormy and her 3 year old son are nearly inseperatable!

I'll probably suggest sticky paws first. Believe me, after the conversation I had with her yesterday, that little cat isn't going ANYWHERE! They absolutely ADORE him!

Last night, Pharaoh decided that the front of my oven door randomly tasted good. I must have spilled something on it. I took a picture; I'll have to upload it sometime.

In other news, Stormy is coming over for a visit and a nail trim tomorrow. Apparently, he's been rather ornery with his new owner lately (waking her up early in the morning, stealing food, clawing furniture, the usual 6 month old kitten mischief!) and his owner is coming over for a consult. Don't worry, I'm also referring her to this website- I'm not available 24/7!

My First Snow Day

Hi everyone! Yesterday waz so cool! I waz lookin out my window and sawed this wite stuff comin out of the sky! It lookted like Snowflake was in the clouds having a big scratch and her fur waz fallin down! I runded to the livin room window and then upstairs. Mommy was laffing at me. Then she says "Pharaoh, that's SNOW. Do you want to go outside and see it?"

She pick me up and take me to the back door. I waz so confused. Snowflake culdnt REALLY be in the sky...culd she?

Mommy opened the door and we goed outside. Suddly, there waz this fluffy water fallin fron the sky! It waznt Snowflake, it was funny rain! I gots a fluffy rain drop stuck on my eyebrow whiskers and Mommy laffed at me.

She putted me down on the grass. It was cold! and stiff! And my paws gots all cold and wet! I waz pickin my paws up, tryin to keep them warm and dry. I sniffded the snow and got it up my nose! I sneezed and Mommy laffed again. I didnt see wat waz so funny.

I waz startin to gets cold. Mommy knew that, somehow, and pickded me up and took me back inside! That waz the craziested day of my life!

It's 12:30am. I'm waiting on my fiance to finish building a computer so we can go to bed. Aila is at my feet sleeping, but Pharaoh is being a silly, crazy kitty tonight.

We were playing peek-a-boo and bat-the-curtain while I was taking my shower. He enjoyed Leo's favorite music video, 'Flip Out Like a Ninja', then proceeded to rock the recliner to try to squish his brother, Aster, who had been trying to sleep underneath.

Finally, Pharaoh proceeded to chase his tail around the living and dining room before settling in the recliner to curl up and sleep.

I retract one of my previous statements in the 'A New Roomate' thread- I don't have boring cats!

Hey, I gots to play with Stormy yesterday! His new Mommy let him spend all day with us! He needed his claws trimded (yuck!) but he stayed all day! I waz mad at him at first. I growled becuz I waz so mad he left me! Then, after Mommy gave us a snak and catnip, we startd playing! It was fun. I waz sad when he left for the day, but his Mommy says he will come back.

We git into trouble, too.

Last night me, Squeakie-Pie (the ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL blue-eyed baby girl) was chasing Tiger Boy (we was jist playing) & Meowmy yelled at me. Then Midnight Louie jumped on the bed and knocked over a fan. Meowmy was NOT happy.

Is it the weather that is making hoomans so grumpy? Anyway they love us no matter what.

Hello,

This is Pharaoh. Yesterday, I gots in big trouble all day.

First, I was just playing with my biggest brother, Aster, and Daddy thought I was being mean and he yelled at me. Aster just likeses to make noise when we play, I waznt hurting him.

Then, I was nat hunting in the kichen and I jumped on the sink to catch him, but fell and knocked over my Daddy's coffee pot. It waznt broken, but Daddy put me in a time out, and I was sad.

Then, Mommy made chicken chicken chicken for dinner and lefted the bones on the counter. I didnt know about bones; it just smellded good! So I jumped up there and knocked it down to share with Aila and Aster and Daddy freakded out! I was so scart I froze! He scruffted me and took me upstairs to Mommy. Mommy holded me and made me sit in a time out for ten minutes! I was so sorry and Mommy told me about bones.

Then Daddy came back up and they petted me and say they love me. But I didnt mean to be bad yesterday! I was just playin!

Pharaoh is going crazy today! He's running around the house like his tail is on fire! He's happy and doing his little kitty buzzes, but at 4:00 in the morning!

I got up to hit the snooze this morning, but Pharaoh beat me to it. I jumped on the end table, knocked the iPhone (which is the alarm clock for now) and began pouncing it! He actually turned the alarm off! Then he looked at me with a big smile on his face and buzzed all the way downstairs.

I guess the moon is just right or something! Or maybe it was that piece of candy corn he ate last night?

I left for class at 8:00am, my fiance still struggling out of bed. Poor guy...

Hey all,

Pharaoh is still somewhat upset about Stormy being gone, but he's doing better. He was sulking quite a bit yesterday, but he came and slept with me last night and he was playing this morning before I left for class.

The girl that adopted Stormy called about 45 minutes after she brought him home; he was running into the bathtub and crying. I said just give him time and space because he's scared. I called yesterday to follow up and he is doing great. He slept with her last night and is a little shadow to her 3 year old son. All three of them adore each other! I'm so happy.
Stormy happened to be hiding when I called her. Pharaoh meowed and my feet and suddenly Stormy peeked his head around the corner. He must have heard Pharaoh through the phone!

She will be brining him back for visits when she goes on vacation and when he needs his nails trimmed, so Stormy and Pharaoh will still get to see each other occasionally; I'm happy about that too. Stormy was my first foster, so he will always be a little more special.

Again, thanks to all for your encouragement and prayers for him. It paid off; Stormy is in a wonderful home- nearly as good as mine I would say!

They say 3's a charm. I hope it holds true once again. I got a third phone call yesterday about Stormy. This person seemed the best out of all the others so far. She is looking for a family pet and asked lots of questions about Stormy before making the appointment to come see him.

Her previous cat had 'bi-polar' as she put it. The cat would spontaneously attack her and her three year old son for no apparent reason. She found another home for that kitty witha friend, but her little boy has been asking where thier kitty is. So she saw my sign that said 'good with kids'. She had waited a few days to make sure it wasn't just acting on a whim, then decided to call. I really hope it works out for everyone. This person seemed really nice over the phone. Wish me luck! The appointment is at 2:00pm today!
