I use Blue Ribbon natural kitty litter for my girls. I like it because it doesn't smell like the clay litter. It is also nice that I can get it at Dollar Tree for $1 a bag - normally goes for $5 a bag elsewhere.

I use Swheat Scoop after trying the newspaper pellets which did not hold in odor and it was hard to scoop out only the wet part. If you scoop out the Swheat every day then the dried urine clumps come out easy. I would rather not have perfect litter rather than use the clay, dusty and clumping kind which i've read bad things about.

I tried that litter and hated it. They say it will last this length of time and it didn't and it made my house smell terrible. Besides the kitty's kicking it all over are you having any of the fore mentioned problems? Right now I use the Walmart litter and like it.. there is no smell. They were kicking it everywhere I solved most of the problem by buying a covered box. They took it right away.. Thank goodness..

This is one debate that I doubt will ever be settled.

I really liked Feline Pine ... but it was a bit tedious double-sifting the litter, and the new pellets were hard on the cats' feet.

Swheat Scoop, in my experience at least, became mortar in the cat box, and was as hard to remove from the pan. Odor absorbtion was not all that great.

"Worlds' Best" was doing well .... but, with four cats now, it became a bit overwhelmed, and didn't quite trap the smells. It wasn't enough to just remove the clumps; periodically, I had to do a complete change.

I'm now trying the Feline Pine 'clumping' type. The cats really like the softer texture, and it kills odors better than anything else. It does seem to track more, though.

We use the wood stove pellets (similar to Feline Pine). It works well for us and is pretty cheap ($5 for 40 lbs)

I use to use the one from walmart and then Cat Depot said they used the stuff that you can buy at a local feed store. I buy it in 50 pound bags and mix my own baking soda in it. It doesn't cut the smell quite as well as the fancy ones but it is cheaper.

I prefer Nature's Miracle. It's a soft cedar clumping littler, but you can only find it in places like petsmart.

Hi I'm new in here and I use Tidy cat mutiple cat clay litter. My cats seem to like it better than the clumping litter. They kept sneezing with that so I changed to Tidy cat. My cats also get the litter all over the floor in from of the boxes also. I try and keep it swept up so it doesn't go any where else in the house.

I use the 40 lb bucket of the Sam's Club brand ... LitterClean. It's less than $9 and it's really hard clumping. My 6 babies use whatever I buy but this is the one we all like the best!!

The absolute best is "Cat Attract" developed by a vet. I was having a problem with one of my cats occasionally using the bathtub. I was afraid he was "dirty"; I tried Cat Attract, probably 5 to 6 months ago; Zeke hasn't used the bathtub since. There's something in the litter that attracts the cats and it absolutely works. It's clumping, has no offensive odor, and no dust. I but it at PetSmart.

I use Arm and Hammer Odor Control or Super Scoop... in fact I use all Arm and Hammer products like the litter box deodorizer, carpet freshener, and detergent for laundry Yes I am a bit anal (pardon the pun) about the apartment not smelling like cat doo and I don't think Mel is offended either!

I had heard Tidy Cat was good too I may try that sometime to have an alternative. The biggest dilemma I had at first was how to drag a box of litter up to my third floor apt!!!

Definitly the best cat littler is Cat Attract from Dr. Elsey's. Expensive and you can only find it at pet smart, but it's worth the price. I've tried several cat litters because my cat had a litter problem when we relocated, until somebody recommended me cat attrack, and there's no comparison. Doesn't smell, scoops great, last for a long time and helps to resolve litter problems. CAT ATTRACT!

i"ve gone thru lots of different ones. Currently we are using wood stove pellets (like the Feline Pine) and the cats are fine with that. Its a LOT cheaper then any other litter - less then $4 for 40 lb bag.

I like it cause it really cuts down on any odors and its safe for the cats/kittens and enviroment

I use either Special Kitty or the store brand, Tidy Cats, or Johnny Cat. We tried Arm and Hammer Odor Control one time--never again! The smell was horrible--halfway between a dirty baby diaper and an outhouse! We don't get that with the other litters. The only other litter Tripod doesn't like is the LitterPearls--she would pee in it, but pooping was something else--and it was a pain to scoop. Once in a blue moon we get Feline Pine--it depends on what's on sale and what we have a coupon for.

I really like "The world's best litter."The box remains so clean and you don't have to do a full change for upwards of 2 weeks. I have never had any issue with smell. But, I'm a stickler, I remove debris multiple times a day ;]

I use Arm & Hammer primarily, but I'll use the Tiday cats small particles, because I like the scent. (Can't be ALL about them!)

there's the Arm & Hammer High Performance in the bags, which is sawdust I think. They don't like it, they'll use it if all the other litterboxes are dirty (I have 3 cats and 5 litterboxes because my house has 3 floors, I have one litterbox on each floor, and three "main" litterboxes). So it's their litter of last resort

I used to use arm and hammer with my cat because it works so well to kill the smell. I tried one kind of arm and hammer (I can't remember what it was called) but the litter was tan and she hated that.

Now I just use the same stuff my grandmother uses, tidy cats. I don't really like it but it's a lot cheaper. But my cat just kicks it everywhere. She's a digger that's for sure!

I buy the 28 pound box of Special Kitty clumping litter at Walmart for $4.59 -- it says on the box it is scented, but I don't smell that it is.

Cats have sensitive noses (smell) and I tend to be allergic/sneezy to perfume so..... it doesn't smell, it's CHEAP, it clumps so it is scoopable and especially it is CHEAP so I can spend my extra money on cat toys and better brand cat food.... etc.

It also works great! I scoop out their litter boxes every morning into a covered bucket lined with a plastic bag (recycled of course).

Feline Pine's pretty good, but right now we're using World's Best. It isn't as dusty and although we have one who's a great kicker, it doesn't seem to scatter all over as badly.

I use arm & hammer scoopable litter for my two. One of my girls is very sensitive to the dust in litters, and this one doesn't bother her at all. It also has immediate odor control that helps a lot.

I use mostly fresh step mainly because it is cheap, readly available and it was what my cats were already used to. I recently learned of all of the chemicals that are in clumping cat litters, so I'm slowly switching them over to yesterday's news pelleted litter. The pellets are kinda hard so I soaked them in hot water and broke them apart do it is the same consistensy as the clay litter. I'm now mixing it in with the fresh step. They are readily accepting it which is great for their health (yesterday's news is recycled newspaper--so absolutly NO harmful chemicals and NO dust! So many litters claim to be dust free--this one really is!) and easier on the environment!

I like to use Fresh Step non-clumping. I don't care for the clumping litter. Even though my cats tend to get any type of litter scattered on the floor, the finer litter seems to get all over the place. So I stick to the bags of Fresh Step regular litter.
