Do you have any other cats in the house or any dogs that may be bothering her when she needs to go.

Try confining her to one room that is cleanable (or use a large towel under the pan) with the litter pan for a week or so and see if she will go back to using it.

If this doesn't work, you may need to take her back to the vet and see what might be causing the problem. Is she having difficulty in pooping?

BMs not in litter box

We have a 12 year old female indoor cat who we got from our son about 6 years ago. He rescued her from humane soc, she had been declawed and he had her fixed. Our problem is she has started to not use the litter box for her BMs, she uses it to pee in all the time. She had a problem a few years ago with constipation and took her to the vet (?) who did all test but not much of anything else for $500.00. She started to go regularly but within the last couple of months started to go wherever she was and sometimes in her box. We feed her IAMS (pink bag) I think it is for digestion and indoor cats. Hope I explained OK and hope somebody might have some suggestions as to her problem. Thanks, Aggie
