Cats don't like change and it may take them as much time to settle in to a new place as it will take for your daughter to return home.

It's amazing how much people want to help when someone they love is going through a hard time - sometimes all they need is someone to direct their good energies to a specific purpose or task.

You should check with your local humane societies (go to Pet Finder.com and look for organizations by zip code) to see if they can help with your situation but I think what's best for the cats is to stay at home if possible.

Best wishes for you, your daughter and the kitties.

Need Help Finding Temporary Home

My daughter is very sick in the hospital and will not be going home for some months. She has two indoor cats she needs to find temporary homes for but she will want them back. Knowing she can have them back will be a huge incentive for her to live. We live in the Los Angeles area. Is there any place that will temporarily adopt cats?
