Perhaps you can send a Private message to a moderator and ask them to delete the post for you? They should have rights to delete posts.

I've found that you cannot delete a post.

You can click on the Edit button and highlight what you want to take off and hit your delete key -- or backspace over the words/para you want deleted and take it off that way, but you have to leave a comment.

You could add a comment that you deleted the above because it was no longer applicable. -- (I would explain why just for us readers.)

At the bottom it will give the information that you edited your comment. After I post this = I'll go back and edit something so you can see the edit comment at the bottom.

Editing or Deleting a Post

I would like to edit or remove a post I made earlier this year as it is no longer applicable, but am having trouble doing so. Please let me know how to go about doing this. It looks easy as there are "buttons" to delete or edit, but then I get a message that I don't have rights or access to do so.

HELP!!!!!
