Just the way they brought him in, with a pregnant female. he had on a standard flea collar, no microchip and not neutered. To me that's a major responsibility when you bring in a pet into your life ... get it fixed asap. Thanks for the support.

RE: Adopting a 2 yr old Stray/Neutered at Pound/Spraying issues

Rest asure its NOT the norm to spray with a neutered male. The chances are in favor of him not doing it Even ex-breeidng cats don't usually spray after being neutered.

So go ahead and adopt him and I'm sure things will work out.

Adopting a 2 yr old Stray/Neutered at Pound/Spraying issues

I am looking at adopting a 2 year old kitty from our local animal Shelter. The kitty has no history and at this time is not neutered. He will be neutered before he leaves the pound. If I adopt I am nervous about the fact that the sooner you get a kitty neutered the better as far as spraying and other issues such as attitude etc. I've had two boy kittys and have had them fixed asap so I have never had a problem. I know I cannot be guaranteed, but is there any hope that one fixed this kitty won't spray? Thanks!
