Hi there,

I already have 4 cats so I probably have enough, lol, but I think maybe one more would be ok. I love the look of the spotted cats and so does my husband. He actually likes the Savannahs, and I think they are beautiful too, but they seem just a bit too wild. I don't know. So I was thinking a Bengal or an Ocicat. I have a Ragdoll, who is not as laid back & docile as they are supposed to be, and a Maine Coon. My Maine Coon seems to have the classic Coon personality. I also have 2 DSH's who are quite active also.

Any opinions? TIA!

I have taken in 2 bengals, they are not like my other DSH cats. They are very territorial and possive. One of them has taken over a bdrm and won't let any others in it. The other one seems to suffer from anxiety, shes nervous and fears my others. She stays up high and never gets off the counter tops. I do have an aggressive siamese who terrorizes others. I often wonder if the one is bread far enough away from the leopard cat. Can't find any experienced Bengal owners   to talk too.   I thought about finding the high strung one a home where shes any only child. Can't decide. anyway good luck.    JMax

Hi! My Waylon, an Ocicat, is very laid back. He never gets high-strung. He gets along with my Birman, KC, just fine. So, if you really don't want a hyper cat, I would get a Ocicat.

Charlie's a purebred Ocicat. Both Bengals and Oci's are very smart and very active cats. If you adopt one, be sure to spend a few hours with them in interactive playing. Oci's are 100% domestic (no wild cat in them). Bengals do have the Asian Leopard cat in them.

BTW what color is Waylon?
