Rag dolls, and Maine Coons - I've never owned either though, but my former roommate had a Maine Coon and I just fell in love with him!

| My sister had an odd-eyed white cat from a litter of kittens by a Persian dam and a sire of unknown origin. He was sold to my sister as a non-pedigreed Persian. He had blue eyes and a black spot on his head. As he grew older the black spot went away and one eye turned amber. This cat was very special as he loved water, he was very loving and sweet natured. He had semi-longhair and the hair on his tail was long. He would have longer hair in the winter than in summer and he had one layer of fur. He would take naps in the bird bath and be on hand when anyone took a bath. He loved to have his stomach rubbed. My sister lived in Istanbul, Turkey for over 10 years and seemed to think he was a Turkish Angora. Mhilda

I love my domestic short/medium/long hairs but my favorite on the list is Siamese.

"The really great thing about cats is their endless variety. One can pick a cat to fit any kind of decor, color scheme, income, personality, mood. But under the fur, whatever color it may be, there still lies, essentially unchanged, one of the world's free souls." Eric Gurnery
