| I'd say not until you've done a lot of research on cat breeding - there's more to it than just matching a female with a male. Did you buy your Persians from a breeder - if so, did the breeder understand that you intended to breed your kitties? In that case, the breeder should be happy to work with you to get you started, as he/she has a stake in the results as well. If your kitties came from a pet store, you may want to contact some local breeders for advice before you breed them - and you may change your mind about wanting to. My Scottish Fold breeder told me that he liked to wait until his kitties were at least two years old - but that will vary from breed to breed and probably even from breeder to breeder. Check out www.breedlist.com for a list of breeders if you didn't go through one to get your beauties.

First, do you have breeding rights? Second did you get your cat from a registered breeder or from a pet shop? IMO you don't breed a cat just cause its a purebred. You only want to breed the best examples.
If you have not done any pedigree research on your cat, she should not be bred. Also has she been tested for heart, kidney, and other genetic problems? Is she show/breeder quality? If she's only pet quality, spay her.
Most breeders will not even offer stud service to unknown females and to cats who have never been shown and are not even titled (champion or grand champion).
If you post a picture of your cat, I can tell you if she is pet or show quality.

| You said females as in more than one. What the heck are you planning? ***My Edit:****OH I just saw that this was first posted way back in March of 2007. Somebody added to an old post -- but the topic is interesting, I hope she didn't breed a bunch of persians off-the-cuff --- that was a year ago in March so if she did it, that means the unscrupulous cat breeder's unscrupulous kittens had their own unscrupulous kittens and they're having unscrupulous kittens...... Below is a picture of Rusty being driven mad at the thought of unscrupulous cat breeders!
