| Do cats shed whiskers? I recently found 2 whiskers on the bed where my cat usualy sleeps.

Yes they do, its quiet natural. They also shed their nail sheaths, so if you find little hunks of kitty nails lying around don't let it scare you. And depending on how old your cat is, they also loose their teeth. But that is usually just kittens. Hope this helps!

I forgot to mention. When Blossom was a tiny baby her whiskers looked as if someone had cut them. About 6-8 on each side. No one would own up so it must have happened when she was playing. She plays terribly rough. They fell out & she grew another set. It happened again a week or 2 later.

Cats do shed whiskers, I find whiskers from my cats from time to time. They do grow back tho.

I don't know but I have a cat that likes to checkout what I'm cooking for dinner and sometimes gets to close to the stove. His whiskers start to curl from the heat. We can always tell where he has been from his whiskers.
