I'm here, posting again about my kitty, honey. When I first got her I knew she kinda looked like a breed of cat I had seen before but I couldn't remember what breed it was. Then I went onto the CFA website and found that she looked remarkably like a Turkish Van, which I understand to be quite a rare breed. The more I read about this breed, the more it sounded like my cat. She has the same kind of coat, the same large eyes and the same personality. She even LOVES water. But I'm not sure she could really be even part Turkish Van because they are so rare. Any thoughts? Here is a picture of her... if a better one is needed I can get one ">

That's a beautiful cat! It is probably either a Turkish Van or a Turkish Angora.

I never judge a cat by personality to determine breed - its the head, body that count more. I don't see Turkish Van or Angora in her. She is very pretty tho, but she's a domestic longhair.
Many cats do like playing in water so its not just a specific breed thing.
