| I just rescued a litter of kittens and saw something I have not seen before. There is a bright blue eyed orange tabby in the mix, along with three torbies with short kinked tails. I read online about a rare breed called "Ojos Azules"... could this be what breed they are? Mom is a orange tabby female.

| It's possible! The breed is probably either a natural or a mutated breed - natural meaning that the breed characteristics just occurred and are genetically passed on, and mutated meaning that the gene that causes the breed characteristics was a mutation and the mutation is passed on. Does your kitty have very deep blue eyes, deeper than a Siamese? And does it have a flattened tail-tip? From what I've read, the flattened tail-tip is an indicator of the Ojos Azules gene. Like the Scottish Fold cat (which is a mutated breed), there are some problems associated with the gene and two Ojos Azules cats should not be bred together. Kittens are usually born with blue eyes, and in most cats the eyes change color as they mature. So it could be possible that your kitty is just too young for her eyes to achieve their final color. But whether or not your kitty is an Ojos Azules, she's bound to be a gorgeous cat - we'd love to see pictures!

| My cat Chloe she is an orange tabby. When she was a kitten she had blue eyes but as she got older her eyes did change. She is still a beautiful cat and always will be. My other cat is a black, gray and white tabby her name is Jasmine.

I've never seen a blue-eyed adult orange tabby in person, but I have seen a few on shelter/rescue websites. Usually it indicates that there's Siamese in their background. They sure are beautiful!

| Thank you for all your replys! He has deeper blue eyes than what i have seen in siamese, and the rest of the litters eyes have already changed to green, but his show no hint of other color. The kittens have short kinked tails and they seem flat at the tips, not pointy like other kittens. but they are still young, so i am not too positive about the tails. I will get some pictures of him soon!

| I have an orange and white male cat. He has blue eyes. He two years old so they will not change. He was just too unique to give up. He was a rescue but the person that brought him to me had several DLH with colorpoints and blue eyes in the area.
