These are a few songs that I listened to after Baby Passed.   I cried through each one but they made me remember all of the things I love about her.

Phil Collins – Take Me Home

Kim Carnes – I’ll Be Here Where The Heart Is

Scorpions – Hey You

Phil Collins – One More Night

Sonny & Cher- I Got You Babe

Bon Jovi – Never Say Goodbye

I agree music makes me very sad (even at the best of times) and I try not to listen to it when grieving. Most songs are so sad anyway.
There's one song that gets me every time, I don't know who its by or the title but it goes something like "how to save a life" and something about losing best friends. I absolutely cannot stand it, it's heartbreaking.

When I am sad, I don't want to hear  happy songs...I want to hear from those who understand pain and loss.. lt helps me to feel the pain completely so i can walk through it, purge & move on.

My favorite CD's for grief are:

Alison Krauss's "A Hundred Miles Or More" &

Ryan Adam's "29"

I also love the songs "When I get Where I'm Going" by Brad Paisley & Dolly Parton. And "Whiskey Lullabye" by Brad Paisley & Alison Krauss.

Memory from the musical Cats, Andrew Lloyd Webber.  As my husband was digging the grave for our beloved gray and white Oddleif, I was playing the piece on the violin. It still hurts to hear it more than 7.5 yrs later, but I associate it with our cat's passing.
