I'm beginning to believe that flea collars actually attract fleas instead of repel them. At their current ages it would be prudent to gather tham and their queen and take them to the vet for a well kitten checkup and even start getting their vaccinations. The vet would then be able prescribe flea medications for the kitten.

Flea collars are worthless -- and I think they torture the kitty's wearing them.  Their sense of smell is so sophisticated, imagine having that "smell" tied around your neck 24/7 !!  Over-the-counter store bought flea medicines are also worthless.

Revolution is safe to put on kittens that young and also safe for your adult cats.  Our local Humane Society puts Revolution on all kittens and cats.

After they get older I would switch to Frontline plus.  You can buy Revolution and Frontline plus from the Vet without taking your cat in.  Also Petco and Petsmart.

After you apply the Revolution, keep the kittens away from momcat until it dries and is absorbed into their skin, as she will ingest it by giving them baths.

Get the kittens vaccinated -- distemper can wipe them all out within days!

After the kittens are weaned, get your female spayed -- hundreds of thousands of homeless cats are put to sleep each year!

First of all throw away the flea collars! They do nothing and are more dangerous for the cats. The collars have poison in them and if the cat licks the collars, they will get very sick or died. Cut them up and put them in your vacuum cleaner! Get Frontline or Advantage for your adult cats.

As for the babies, this will take longer. Each kitten has to be flea combed and use some Dawn dish detergent to drop the fleas in. This will have to be done several times a day till they are gone.

Vacuum your house and furniture and keep the adult cats inside if they go outside. Some have had success with sprinkling salt in the carpet or demetrious earth (got in a garden supply store) in the carpet. Either dries up the fleas in the carpet/furniture.

Fleas are only on the cats 10% of the time - rest of the time is spent in the carpet laying eggs.

Safe flea repellent- plants Artemisia family (latin name) such as Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), Mugwort (A.vulgaris), Southetnwood (A.abrotanum), French and Russian tarragon (A.dranunculus). Put these plants in pet's beds. You can also boil plants in water, let it chill to room temperature and wash kittens.

I agree, throw away the flea collars. They wont do anything productive. Give the adult cats frontline or advantage as said before. I'm not sure if the mother cat can have the frontline while still caring for the kittens. You should take the mother cat and the kittens to the vet. The vet can give the kittens something safe and give them their vaccinations. Fleas can be very dangerous for your kitties.

You can get rid of the fleas with a simple vacuum job. There is flea spray that you can get to spray on the perimiter of the rooms in your house that may help. There are also bug "bombs" that you can use but you and your pets need to leave the house basically for the day. It most likely wont be easy to get rid of the fleas. Another option is consulting a professional, but that may be expensive.
