| Pharaoh is settling quite well. He is an adorable little...well maybe angel isn't the right word...kitten. He is very mischievous though. He would have given Leo a run for his money sometimes! He is learning the art of stalking at the moment. I think he's been watching snowflake. Snow has been stalking and pouncing Aila lately, because Aila keep smacking her and chasing her for no reason. Snow is trying to hold her position as Queen of our Pride. Pharaoh enjoys pouncing his big "brother", Aster, our three legged cat. Aster doesn't mind- most of the time- he is so happy to have someone to play with! Pharaoh had his vet appointment last saturday. He has coccidia, but he's on meds- and so are all of my others cats. $60 for four cats for two doses a piece of deworming meds. It better work. More updates later after the fourth of July. We'll see if he's facinated with fireworks like Leo was, or terrified like Aila.

| Sounds like Pharoah is settling in quite nicely! Lucky you to have a kitten! You should post pictures of him. Happy 4th of July to you! Below is Rusty getting ready to watch fireworks:

| It sounds like Pharoah is firmly implanting himself into the family. Watching a young cat or kitten develop and mature among other cats is so fascinating. I've noticed that the little one picks up habits and tricks from the other clan members, but they modify these tricks and habits to suit their own personality, and they also show habits that are unique to them! Can't wait to see pictures!

Tripod mostly ignores fireworks and thunderstorms; only if one goes off suddenly and too close will she startle. Lately, she's been slowly overcoming her fear of stangers, bit by bit. Yesterday I had a clogged toilet, and had to call for maintenence. I had to hide all of Tripod's things--pets are allowed, but they make you pay a deposit of $250 plus a $25 a month pet rent here, but mom refused to tell them we had a cat, so now I have to hide a permitted, but unpaid for cat. Not as bad as our last apartment, which was no pets, when we had to smuggle in her food and litter, and keep her quiet, etc.. But ridiculous, none the less. *SIGH*

| Well, I'm not quite sure what to make of it. When we had Leo, he used to scale a matress we had sitting upright against a wall upstairs and look out the window it was by. That matress has been moved since, but this morning, Pharaoh did the same thing- to the same matress in the same way. I didn't see that it was Pharaoh at first, I just saw a furry streak running at full tilt. So for a moment my stomach dropped- I could have swore I saw a familiar black tail- Pharaoh has a tan and striped tail, so it couldn't have been him, and Aster was in the room with me on the bed laying down (Aster is currently our only black cat). So I went into the room and Pharaoh was on top of the matress batting at nothing in midair. I made a noise and he looked at me, then started chewing on the matress. But he turned around to look behind him for a moment, like he was looking for someone. This is not the first time that my fiance and I have thought Leo has come back to visit us. I've fallen asleep to his familiar purr before when none of the other cats are even on the second story floor, or felt a cat jump on the bed and lay next to me when no one was there. My fiance has also thought he felt a kitty run past him before our cat Aster ran by him. It was almost like Aster was playing tag with our Angel Leo. Pharaoh never met Leo, but I just have a feeling that Leo has been coming around to check this new guy out. And if he's playing with him, then that means he accepts him, which makes me all the more happy. But I have to admit, I sure did get quite the scare this morning.

Well, I tend to think that anything is possible - even ghost cats I've thought I've heard our dear departed Gizmo a couple of times, and once thought I saw his fluffy tail go by the front window (but afterwards decided it must've been a squirrel). So, I think it very well could be Leo dropping by to check on you all every now and then, and probably even checking out the new kitty and playing with him. And if it is, then it sounds like Pharaoh has earned Leo's seal of approval, so to speak At any rate, glad to hear the new kitty is working out all right, and I love the name Pharaoh

| The mighty hunter has his prey in sight. The muscles under his striped fur twitch with anticipation. But no, he must be patient, he must strike when the time is right. Slowly he creeps around the recliner- his prey yawns as she suns herself in the rays through the window, stretches, and shuts her eyes for a cat nap. Now's his chance. Pharaoh's rear end twitches ever so slightly as he runs full tilt at his new pride's queen, Snowflake. He stops three inches from her nose, where she looks up at him and bops him on the head before laying back down to rest. "Pharaoh...what are you doing?" Mom asks from the couch. Pharaoh innocently looks at her, then turns to groom his hip. Mom shakes her head. "What a cat" she thinks to herself. Tune in next time for the continuing adventures of Pharaoh: the King Tut of the Cat World!
