Primarily dry, wet food as a treat once a day (really to keep them busy while we eat dinner!)

| I give mine dry food to free feed through out the day and night, and moist food in the evening around the time i have my supper they have theirs! (cuts down on the begging) I would hope no one feed their cat dog food only. There's not enough protein in dog food for cats. There are some canine/feline diets, and if you read the label you'd see they're generally canned meat with nothing else in them. A dog can live on a high quality cat food alone, but a cat cannot live on a high quality dog food alone.
My cats own my house they just permit me to live there. Only cat lovers know the luxury of fur-coated, musical hot water bottles that never go cold." - Susanne Millen

One of our cats will get obese (our neutered senior cat) if we free feed, so we feed dry kitty kibble twice daily. Each cat's portion is controlled carefully, and they are all at a good weight. Water, of course, is always available.
Live, and let live. "true profit is measured by quality of life." "We have cats to enhance our lives, we owe it to them to allow them to enjoy theirs."

Our indoor cat gets 24/7 dry food, and during dinner (sometimes lunch) he gets wet food but barely eats any. Our outdoor cat only gets dry food which we also have out 24/7.

| My 2 cats get Wellness canned 3 times a day and Bluey, my British Shorthair insists on having dry available 24/7 also. Tiffany, my Birman wouldn't touch dry food if she were starving. staffordmom

Einstein gets both.
All our animal ( dogs and cat alike ) are on Nutro Max.
He gets Nutro Max dry and Nutro wet.
He will not eat any other kind of wet food.
Dogs think their human, Cats know they are .

Allot of people don't know that dry can lead to allot of problems such as
fixation- is all they will ever eat.
Dehydration- cats have evolved from desert animals that get most of their water they need from food. Dry contains 10% moisture whereas canned or raw contains 75%
Dental disease, a cats jaws and teeth have evolved to tear and crush raw prey animals it may not be pretty but its the way of the feline.
obesity- Cats that eat dry often times eat more then they need and many are obese.
Kidney failure/ cancer- Most cat food canned or dry is basically made up of rejects from our own food, tumors, puss, ect can all be legally added to animal feed. The dry nature puts strain on the kidneys, ect.
The best drys are brands like Orijen or Evo.
