I'm curious, what's the difference between the American Bobtail and the Pixie Bob? They look exactly alike, and breeders always have both.

| The difference is the length of there coat just like a haircut if it's really short it's a pixie haircut on a women. On a cat the ones that are short hair those ones are called pixie bobtails because the length of the hair. The ones with the long hair are the american bobtails. I know it's stupid but that's what makes them different. I hope this helped and cleared up any confusion for you.

I don't believe that has anything to do with it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixiebob http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Bobtail I don't really understand the difference, either. Only difference I see is that Pixiebobs can be polydactyl, and look more like bobcats. They do evidently come from entirely different bloodlines, though.
