Hi there,

We adopted a kitten recently and we wanted to see if anyone knew what breed he was? He's chocolate brown with a grey patch on his neck. As he's getting older his eyes are more green/amber coloured.

Thanks for the help!
Ashley

I'm not postive on what I think but he is a cutie any way!

MOST cats aren't purebred or even purebred mixes (unlike dogs). So he's probably a domestic longhair. He's adorable......you hardly ever see brown cats!

Oh - what a cutie!  Love that face!  He's a keeper!

It's hard to say what his genetic background is -- he is a

domestic long hair -- as he grows you might see certain traits

that will lead you to suspect he might have this breed or that

in his background -- but whatever - he is going to grow into a

very handsome guy!

Its very rare to have a chocolate mixed breed, but it happens. He could have a chocolate Persian in the background or chestnut oriental or even Havana Brown.

I would suspect out of the above he's more of a chestnut oriental longhair/Persian type of cat - would be most likely explanation.
