| Hiya, I've had my kitty for 13 years and I still have no idea what breed he is. I got him from a pet store (I know. I know. If I had any idea how bad that was when I got him I wouldn't have). He has a lot of features that scream abyssinian but his ears are too small and his neck is too short. He may be a mixed breed. If he is I would love to know what he is a mix of. Can anyone help? He's bunched up a little in this shot. His body is long and lean.

| Didn't the pet store know his breeding? They love making $$ off of "purebreds". It could be your kitty came from a "breeder" that didn't check bloodlines or simply inbred. You may have to be satisfied that he is simply a healthy cat of unknown heritage, like the majority of the furkids that own humans here at CC!! Most of our "kids" are shelter cats, rescues or feral. We are all very proud of our "mutts"! I still hope that you will give us the chance to change your mind! We can get heated, but it really isn't that often! And it is because we care.
CricketYou don't have to be crazy to be my friend, but it helps!!!

I just really hate it when people force others to their belief system. I would love it if everyone loved God, but I'm not gonna tell someone they have to or I won't be their friend. What Willow said feels like the same to me.slegned (6/22/2009)
See some tabby with the striping. He is a very handsome cat! Thank you very much. Yeah. The striping makes me think tabby also but his body type is wrong. Maybe a tabby/abby mix?

| He does look like he could by part abyssisian. By the way, tabby isn't a breed, it's a color pattern. Cats in several different breeds are tabbies. A tabby always has an M shape on its forehead. They can be striped or spotted, or "ticked" like an Abyssisian.
This is my cat, Ebony. She is one year old. She is the best cat in the whole world!
