When I try to scroll down a page, it stops at about the second post on the page.... and I can't scroll down, or up, for that matter. Bad enough pages take longer to load, but it takes forever for the blockage to clear so I can scroll down again to follow postings on the thread.

I recently got Internet Explorer 8 put on my computer as an upgrade (Microsoft loaded it), but this happens only on this site; the other sites with forums I visit don't have this problem. And yes I plan on complaining to Microsoft about this--faster, easier, safer my fat butt!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, would you please send the detailed info to the Contact Us page at this link:

http://www.catchannel.com/contact-us.aspx

Choose "Technical Support" from the drop down.

In the description let us know what browser you're using, what time of day you're experiencing the scrolling slowness, if you're on a PC or a Mac and include the details from this post, and more if you have any, on what you're trying to do, what the problem is and how long it's taking.

The more info you provide the easier the team will be able to assist you.

Thanks!

I have a PC with Internet Explorer; the problem was Microsoft Automatic Updates had installed IE8 on my computer, which really slowed it down. After I uninstalled IE8, the problem cleared up. I don't come here everyday, so it's been about a week since I uninstalled IE8, which I recommend that nobody install unless you're a masochist.

Thanks anyway, FeathersanFuzz!

I'm having this problem as well, I thought it was my computer but I think it might be all the images that have to download along with the page. However, this problem only became recent, it never used to be this slow for me before.

Hi Tommygirl,

Can you also please submit this to Technical Support on the Contact Us page?

Also please include:

1.What time it is you’re experiencing this.
2.What you’re trying to do.
3.What browser you’re using
4.If you’re on a Mac or a PC
5.Include the URL of the page that you’re trying to access.

Those are all questions that we usually need to ask the user anyway so might as well include anything you can up front to help us figure out what's going on. Thanks!

Oddly enough, the problem seems to have solved itself as there's no slow loading anymore. I assumed you guys did something to fix it, but I guess I just got lucky or something, lol

There have been a few IT fixes over the week so it's possible that we caught it without knowing it. I'm glad to hear that it's working again for you.
