I know that a normal litter is averaged at 2-8(4-6?) kittens in a litter. What is the possibility of a cat having ten kittens, and how often does it happen?

Most cats drop 4 eggs. Sometimes one or two of them split, and they have 5-6 kittens. The largest litter I've seen personally was 7 kittens. Larger litters than that are pretty rare, but I'm not sure of the exact statistics.

3-5 is average. more or less is pretty rare. our cat Tiara had 2 litters. the 1st had 3 kits and the 2nd had 5.
