In the past I had two female cats and they always (and only) slept at my feet every night. When I got Tommy he always slept on top of my head. Now Dexter is doing the same thing, I will wake to find him sleeping on my pillow around my head. My former roommate (who has a male Maine Coon) says he sleeps on her head also. Why do males seem to favour the head, and females seem to favour the foot of the bed? Where does your cat sleep choose to sleep on your bed when it does?

Mine sleep wherever they want to, they are quite sure that I'll make room for them ( and they're right). Where my fur family sleeps on the bed depends largely on what time of the year it is and what the weather is like. In the worst days of winter Gabe will climb under the covers by the trunk of my body. Pea sleeps at my hip year round, Loki will sleep between my feet 90% of the time except if it's bitterly cold then he sleeps on me, and Vali will sleep between my feet if I'm not too figidty.
My cats own my house they just permit me to live there. Only cat lovers know the luxury of fur-coated, musical hot water bottles that never go cold." - Susanne Millen

Coco used to sleep at the foot of my bed and then started to move upward but only ever got to my back then chose to sleep elsewhere. Sadie would sleep on my pillow but then started to sleep with Coco.

"The really great thing about cats is their endless variety. One can pick a cat to fit any kind of decor, color scheme, income, personality, mood. But under the fur, whatever color it may be, there still lies, essentially unchanged, one of the world's free souls." Eric Gurnery

My Snickers sleeps on the pillow by my head, Chester sleeps on my left side (generally half on me) and Ollie sleeps on my right side. It's not fun trying to peel myself out of that when I have to get up and pee at three o'clock in the morning!!

Jadzia sleeps on top of my head on my pillow, too. Kahlua sleeps by the foot of the bed because Jadzia won't let her sleep with us! I guess Jad is "greedy" with me!

Kaluha sleeps around my head. If I cant stop moving around he goes to his bed which is on a chair next to our bed. I did have a female cat who now lives with my mother and she would start at my head and a few hours later would be at my feet.

| My two cats will try to take my spot in the bed and lay their heads on the pillow (curled up under the covers). They both have specific spots on the bed they prefer.

I have two cats that sleep with me usually every night, I have one that will sleep on the foot of the bed on a blanket just for the cats and my youngest one will be on the end and work his way up to where he is right next to me taking up the other half of the bed, usually using the pillow at the same time.
