I have a 3 that chirp. They do that when they are happy. I love that sound!

Life without cats is boring!

My cats make the trilling sound when they are happy and "chatting" with me.  They also use the sound when I get home from work -- it's nice being greeted by furballs who are happy to see you. :0)

I've only ever heard my cats chatter away when they see something they want to hunt, like a bird through the window, or a spider in the house. There must be two different chirping sounds, because what I hear is my cats instinctively making 'hunting' noises.

I want to hear the 'I love you' chatters!

My littlest guy coos like a dove. He sounds EXACTLY like a dove when he talks to me, it's sooo cute.

one of may cats chirps constantly. whenever she jumps on or off of anything or when she is planning an attack on her little sister or if your petting her belly. she seems happy most of the time when she chirps, sometimes she sounds confused (it sounds like a "huh?"). but it's the cutest thing ever i think, and i hope she doesnt grow out of it.

My guy and myself walked into a pet store, to get a new goldfish....
then we saw them...
first, we saw Fish, a lively gray and white kitty
and then we saw pumpkin and orange and brown baby.
we didnt intend on it but now we are a little family.
yay!!!!!

I've got a bunch of talkers and trillers. Vali trills every night, he falls asleep in the dining room or kitchen and when he wakes up none of his 'pride" is around. He runs through the house trilling for the other cats. This will wake Loki up but not concern him enough to find out what's wrong with his protege.

Gabe Trills and chirps when he sees people outside. He then tries to dig through the windows to go meet the meet and get his head rubbed.

Loki will occasionally chirp, but he's never quite learned how to meow, he's more a "Meep" than "meow"

Pea vocalizes for every thing.

My cats own my house they just permit me to live there.

Like Jingles my cats make that odd type of noise when they are hunting (playing.)  Most common time is when I pull out their laser toy.

Hello!

OK I don't really have much to add other than my cats chirp when they are chasing flies or birds   but please watch this Simon's Cat video- it perfectly captures chirping! (and cat behavior in general)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1qHVVbYG8Y

I could watch those video's all day!  LOL
