Mystique - Please don't be worried about posting here, ever! We do occasionally butt heads, because none of us know all the answers but we all do care so passionately about our cats.  I'm so sorry that you felt apprehensive about coming back & posting - please accept our apologies and do keep posting, we would love to hear from you, especially as we want to follow Hemingway's story!

I'm so terribly sorry about your experience in trying to adopt the mama-cat and one of her babies, and then about adopting the other kitty who turned out to be so sick.  You have so much love and compassion to give, you really must have a cat.

I know this sounds bad but I kinda hope that no one claims Hemingway so that he can become your kitty.  This is a cat who truly needs the love and care that you will provide - a match made in heaven!  He's a beautiful cat and is very lucky to have you and your husband to look after him.  Bless you for all you have done for this little fellow!

I'm praying for Hemingway for a quick recovery from his surgery, and also that you will be able to keep him.  Would that all God's creatures receive such wonderful loving care!

I agree with all that cat dolls said. I'm glad Hemingway found his perfect home, he is very cute. I hope he recovers quickly and can go back to being a great kitty.

Oh, Hemingway is beautiful! What a handsome boy, good luck with him. I'm sorry to hear about all of the trouble you had with the other kitties, I like to think that because you went through all of that it means that Hemingway will be with you for many years.
