Your kitten's behavior sounds perfectly normal. Kittens don't like to cuddle because they are all about playing. Everything needs to be chased and pounced on - it's what kittens do! As far as biting goes, when he bites your hand say no loudly or blow in his face, when he stops biting take your hand away. It's important that you immediately give him something that is appropriate to bite, one of his toys will do. This way you will teach him what's okay to bite and what's not. Your kitten will grow out of this behavior. Don't listen to your boyfriend, buy him as many toys as you want! Boyfriends come and go, but a kitty companion is forever!

p.s. he's very cute!!

Biting people is a bad habit that can quickly become annoying and dangerous, especially when that cute, little kitten weighs 8 or more lbs and has sharp, adult teeth and a powerful grip! Everytime your cat bites, scratches, claws you, grab him by his neck scruff and hold him down for several seconds, than ignore him for a little bit. That's what mom cats do to teach their little kitties good manners, and it doesn't hurt them at all, it just shows them that you don't like his naughty behavior. After you scruff him and come back to finish playing with him, get a toy (one that doesn't ancourage him to play with your hands ect.) and use that as a positive thing. You, as his mom, have to show him the right way to behave.

When my girls tried biting and clawing me when they were kittens, I substituted a toy for my hand (rabbit fur stuffed mouse).  After a while they became more interested in the toys than biting/clawing me.  Just keep at it and be patient -- like the others said, this is a phase your cat is going through.
