UPDATE!.

things are about to get interesting.
I went and took things into my own hands, with the cats next door.
So I talked to our HOA.
I / we are fed up.
I am at my wits end.
We have to take Einstein back to the Vet again tomorrow.
Why?
Because he eats himself due to the cats next door.
We got him a Feliway collar, tomorrow we get him a refill for the plug in Feliway.
The cats got to go.
I am running out of borrowed time and money with him.
We spend $500 in 6 weeks on him.
My Husband build him a 6 foot awsome cat condo.
You can not buy that in the store.

So, the letters are out, and the neighbors have 2 weeks.

I keep ya all updated on what happens tomorrow at the vet.

Keep us posted, at least you are trying to get it resolved.

And today my neighborhood roaming cat decided to visit. He scaled the wooden fence that is catproofed from my side but not the other side. So he could get in but not get out (I am gonna ask my neighbor if I can string garden netting along the top of the wooden fence on our property line - this way it will be totally catproofed from either side.).  My cats slipped out and fur went flying.  I took pictures as evidence and my other neighbor also has issues with this cat harassing her cats. I wrapped this beast in a towel and threw him over the fence. I will probably do nothing this week, because this is the last weekend that it is super nice, but come spring, we are gonna talk to them and get it solved. The cat is 13 or 14, not old, but who knows. Most of my cats have passed on in the winter.  Last time I talked to them, they were somewhat unreceptive, but hopefuly this time with the backing of a few neighbors we will get this issue resolved.

so....we had our Vet visit.
The vet is going to type up a letter , agreeing with me, about his stress level from the outside * feral cats*.
My husband will be picking the letter up on Tuesday.
He got another antibiotic shot, the 1. of 2,the next one is due in 14 days.
because his bites got infected again, I knew that, that was one of the reason we had to go again today.
Second he is again on steroids, until we have the cat problem next door resolved.
It will keep him from biting and scatching so much .

right now he is sitting next to my on the table in the breakfast room, watching me type on my laptop..
so, hopefully in about 2 weeks we will get this neighbor cat problem resolved and EInstein can finally get back to normal.

he is such a trooper.

For the time being til the situation is resolved, can you keep him to a room where he cannot see the cats - either 2nd floor or perhaps have the curtains or shades down.  I was told that it is a way to eliminate exposure that triggers the stress.

in his situation, if I isolate him even more, or deliberate keep him away from the rest of the house, it will make it worse not better, because it will put exra stress on him.
No, we have to deal with it, I am not putting him thru anymore unnecessary stress were the meds do not work correctly and will cost me more money in the long run.

so, we got the letter from the vet, and it states that any loose cat around our house will be negative to his health, and that cats need to stay away.
Which is great, it does not name names, I can use it for everyone.

You caught, and released, the cat once. I suggest that, should the combative kitty return, that he never be seen again.

A call to animal control is the easy solution at that point.
