| I have three cats, 2 adult and 1 kitten. Recently one of the adult cats has started pooping out of the litter tray and on the floor. He still uses the litter tray to urinate but sometimes not to poop. He is a lively domestic outdoor cat but yesterday there was blood in the poop on the floor. I'm getting quite worried as this hasn't happened before as he mostly uses the litter tray to poop. This is now becoming a regular occurrence. Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening? Thanks !

| Change in litterbox habits + blood in poop = vet visit! Anytime a cat changes his litterbox habits, you want to make sure first that there's no medical reason - there frequently is. Plus blood in poop is a sign that something's wrong. Come back & tell us how he is, OK?

I agree with cat dolls, blood is bad.

"The really great thing about cats is their endless variety. One can pick a cat to fit any kind of decor, color scheme, income, personality, mood. But under the fur, whatever color it may be, there still lies, essentially unchanged, one of the world's free souls." Eric Gurnery
