Hi guys!

Here is my problem. My youngest cat, Bruce (About 6 months old) has a tendency to repeat actions over and over.

For example, when He uses the litter box, he will scratch at one side, then go to the other side, the back to the previous. At first, I thought he was just marking his territory (cause I haven't gotten him fixed just yet), but he persists for, sometimes, five minutes straight.

Another example is when its bedtime. Our routine is David (my husband) and I will get in bed. We are shortly followed by Wesley (our oldest) who sleeps in my right arm. Tiger then jumps up and sleeps in between my legs. But then Bruce will jump up walk over and lay between me and David. He will lay there for a min then get up and jump down. He will do this at least 6 times before he finally goes to sleep.

There are also other small actions that he will repeat but those are the major ones. I need help. Has anyone else had this issue with one other theirs?

In some ways, this sounds like my Tabitha.  She tends to be overly tidy in arranging the litter box (vs her sister who isn't very tidy).  It also takes her forever to settle down to sleep (she is very particular about where she will sleep and how) -- she power naps when her sister can sleep for hours.

I just call it a quirky personality for a Siamese/Burmese cat who is very particular about what she does/doesn't like.

I think it is a cat-thing! I've often wondered if Courage has OCD or just a neat-freak. Any and all food, including a single bread crumb, that falls on the floor must be "buried". He insists on washing his paws in his water fountain every time he walks through the dining room, and he cannot drink from the water fountain without flinging water all over the place.

He wasn't screwed in to tightly at the factory either. Everytime he walks past the bathroom, he acts like he just saw a serial killer hiding behind the shower curtain. Nothing bad or remotely scary has ever happened to him in the bathroom so I don't know what is up with that. Courage loves "Dad". He waits at the door to greet him when he comes home from work, they play together, cuddle, headbumps, everything but the second "Dad" goes outside, Courage has no clue who he is and hisses at him. Doesn't happen with me.

Mine buries everything on the floor, too. Rearranges the litter everytime I scoop it, and also after anyone else has used it. He licks everything. People, table legs, other cats, himself. When he's not scratching, that is.

They have captured my heart for life!

Gabe is compulsive about trying to bury uneaten moist food (even if it's mine) , but almost all of them dig like they're trying to get to China in the litterbox! I often holler at them "If you hit gold or oil, I get half!"

My cats own my house they just permit me to live there.
