Sadie will be seven months on the 23rd. If you are really worried about the fleas try and get a flea comb and try to get them out that way. Shay will get defensive, Coco, my white cat, really didn't like Sadie at first but now she thinks Sadie is her baby. Shay will come around, trust me. Sadie never drank formula out of a bowl but she took to baby food great, when you are weaning Roxie try using meat baby food (turkey, chicken, beef, lamb, veal, ect.) but watch out for baby food with onions in them so check the labels carefully. Congrats on litterbox training! For some it is really a struggle but Sadie wasn't too bad, a couple accidents but she took to the litterbox.

I thought I would show you a picture of Sadie when she was a kitten,

 Day 5

 Sadie learning how to walk

We had kittens born in my mom's closet about 15 years ago when they got fleas we called the vet to see what we could use to get rid of the fleas. They told us to take a cotton ball and lemon juice and rub the lemon juice with the cotton ball on them. It got rid of the fleas no problem.

Wow, I have never heard of that. But if it works that is a great idea.

Hi, wow, sorry I haven't been here for awhile!

Those pictures of Sadie are so cute! It's so cool to compare those ones with the one in your signature where she's all grown up! I can't wait to see what Roxie will look like in a few months!

Roxie is getting into all kinds of trouble now! This morning she climbed up on my bed and bit my nose, then kept meowing at me. She JUST learned to climb up on the bed and now she's up and down, up and down all the time! She's also basically tearing up the house, always running everywhere!

She's also starting to eat kitty food, although she still likes the bottle.

Roxie loves to bite! I hope this is just a phase and won't last, cause it doesn't hurt now but if she keeps it up when she gets stronger it's probably going to hurt!

see?

first bowl of kitty food!

Oh yeah and I tried the lemon juice and the fleas disappeared for awhile, and the flea dirt disappeared too, which made me think they were gone! Although I noticed today she's been scratching...I hope she doesn't still have them.

Oh the kitten phase! She will cause all soprts of trouble  but she will grow of of it, also with the bitting. Roxie is so cute! And grown up.  Don't worry about Roxie still getting the bottle, Sadie was bottle feed until she was three months old (not my fault, my dad just loved having a baby around).

Awww!  She's precious!

Here are a few ideas:

First, you asked about bottle-feeding.  There are no set ages; just let her pick her own pace.  Just let her lap from a dish as soon as possible, then let her start crunching on grown-up-kitty food whenever she wants.  Don't force her to do anything she feels uncomfortable with and she'll be fine.

Also, I would REALLY recommend taking her to your vet before introducing her to your other cats.  Have her tested for diseases and parasites (both internal and external) so she doesn't infect your other cats if she has something.  (Be on the lookout for symptoms at home too.)  Remember feline issues spread like wildfire -even through her contacting your clothes and your clothes then contacting your other cats.  I keep my orphans in 100% quarantine until I KNOW they're totally healthy.

Enjoy your new little bundle of joy!  Here's a pic of my latest:

Don't tell mine I said so but I think yours is cuter.

Thanks!

He doesn't quite have a name yet.  We're kicking around 'Mocha.'  Any ideas??

What Equine lady said.  This cute kitten can have just about anything from fleas and respiratory issues, ear mites - all treatable to feline leukemia, distemper, FIV, FIP - basically lethal to the kitten and to your other cat.  I would take it to the vet ASAP

Also try to trap the feral mama and any remaining kittens and connect with your local cat rescue org to get her fixed and adopted out as an outdoor mouser if she is not tame.  They will lend you a cat trap if you ask.

GOod luck

Your kitten is so cute!! I like the name Mocha, it looks like it fits him!!

Don't worry, Roxie's been to the vet already. I'll probably take her back in a few weeks to get her shots, she's around 8 weeks old right now. I was wondering when I should have her spayed? I was going to do it when she was six months old, I hope that's not too early?

I think Roxie's alittle crazy, she does this little bark right before she pounces on my hand. She's also a brat and wakes me up EVERY morning! I'll put her back on the floor and try and get more sleep but she'll just climb right back up and start bothering me again. I guess that's what i get for letting her sleep in my bed
