The other day we found 2 abandoned kittens at a mechanic's shop, the mechanic had no idea where they came from and had no interest in helping them. It's cold out, and they have no food source, so we took them in and now they are residing in my bedroom away from the other cats. They are just old enough to eat hard food.
I looked up the breed and they appear to be oriental shorthairs, or at least have an oriental shorthair parent. They also have the personalities of the oriental. They did not cry in the car, and bounced out of the small cage into the house like they were completely familiar with it. They purr extremely loud and love people. There is not one ounce of timidity in them at ALL. They are both flat in the genital region, so I think they are girls, which is also weird because they are so bold and social. One is solid black, and the other is solid gray, no spots, nothing. Under the peach fuzz fur they have an adult coat, which is only a few millimeters in the length, shortest hair I have seen on any stray kittens (they almost don't have hair on their bellies)! They have very long legs, necks, tails, and they are very slender and muscular. Their heads are also slender and angular.
Here is a link to a picture of the gray one. (kitten looks bigger than she really is, she about the size of 3 of my hands)

Well it sounds like you are doing a good job already but if you have any questions any of us would be willing to answer. (especially me since I just hand raised a day old kitten in march)

"The really great thing about cats is their endless variety. One can pick a cat to fit any kind of decor, color scheme, income, personality, mood. But under the fur, whatever color it may be, there still lies, essentially unchanged, one of the world's free souls." Eric Gurnery

| Yeah, I think that we are going to keep them. All our other cats were rescued abandoned cats we find around where we live. It's sad how often it happens. The luckiest cats in the world are the ones that get dumped near my house, they are spoiled for life then hehe. We planned on just keeping one, but then it just feels wrong to split them up if they have always had each other to play with.

Do they have names? And please keep us updated on the kittens' progress.
