| I am a first time cat owner and I am happy to say that I am a cat person for sure. We have had Puff for about 5 months and he has been a great addition to the family. I joined this site b/c there are definitely some questions and things I just don't know about cats. So, hopefully other cat people can help me out. I took him to get neutered and declawed about 2 weeks ago and that has calmed him down tremendously. I have about 3 issues/questions hopefully you can help me answer. 1. Puff is tearing the weather stripping from the bottom of my door...HELP! 2. Why does he like to splash all the water out of his dish and create a huge mess? 3. Opinions on teaching cat to use the toilet, saw the kit on-line and wonderedif it works. Thanks!

Welcome to Cat Channel. If you have pictures we would love to see Puff. If I read your post right you said you got Puff declawed, how could he be tearing the weather stripping? But one way to deter him is with a spray bottle, when you see him scratching tell in no and spray him. Some cats just like to make messes!  My Leo does the same thing, their really isn't a way to stop him. I don't know how to toilet train a cat but someone else might.

| Kittens love to play he will out grow the water bowl splashing but the first you did wrong was to dewclaw your kitten cat need their need claws to clime,some cats toilet train easy others not I think a litter box is best for a kitten you don't what your kitten to drown in the toilet bowl ! A big WELCOM to CC best of luck with Puff before you know you will have more cats I started with 2 and now I have 10 look out cats are everywhere on CC ! bye bye from cat central
