We discovered some time ago.....(three cats ago) ....that a wonderful and healthy food for your cat is cantaloupe! My husband had made a fruit bowl for both of us one day for breakfast.and I had put mine on the coffee table. Next thing I knew, my kitty, Ozzie, climbed over there and started picking out the cantaloupe, leaving all of the other fruit. All of our kitties since then relish the treat of cantaloupe with their meals....a healthy treat!!!!!

Gee - who'da thunk it?  I don't know if it's actually good for cats but I checked a few sites that list foods that are harmful for cats and didn't see cantaloupe.

So welcome to CC - when can we see pics of these cantaloupe-eating creatures?

Leo LOVED steamed, fresh broccoli, peas and pinapple from a pizza.

Pharaoh has eaten strawberries, kiwi, grapefruit (no sugar), and broccoli.

Pixie eats just about ANYTHING! Some of her favorites are blue corn tortilla chips, cauliflour and broccoli. But all of the cats we had when they were kittens ate EVERYTHING. It think it's like with teenagers- they don't care what it tastes like, they are growing and they just eat! Pharaoh grew out of a lot of his funny food habits except for broccoli. We didn't have Leo long enough to see if he grew out of any of his food habits. He wasn't as fond of peas towards the end, but for some reason Broccoli seems to be the people food of choice in our house for the younger kitties, which is fantastic because it has no seasoning or butter or cheese or anything; pure and fresh!

The older cats seem to like the usual dairy products and meat, but nothing too odd.
